Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Previewed Before Geneva Auto Show
Do you like this story?
Mercedes-Benz’s new-product parade continues apace, with the all-new C-Class coupe scheduled to be revealed at the Geneva auto show next month. In its base C250 trim, the coupe is powered by the brand’s new 1.8-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, developing 201 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque, while the higher-spec C350 receives a 3.5-liter V-6 with 302 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.
Like the revised SLK roadster, the coupe’s front fascia bears rectilinear, sculpted elements, with an upright grille and subtle aero-kit bodywork below the LED directional lights that emphasizes the coupe’s lowered profile — 1.5 inches lower than the sedan.
The C-Class coupe will compete against the BMW 328i and 335i, the Cadillac CTS coupe and Audi A5 when it goes on sale in September.
